Cancellation and Refund Policy
We know plans change. Here's exactly what happens when they do.

The refund schedule
Your refund depends on when you tell us you need to cancel, relative to your child's start date on the Programme.

Full refund of fees paid, including any transport add-ons.

You receive a refund for the days your child does not attend, calculated on the total programme fee.

Example
You enrol your child in the 3-week Prakriti (Sec 128) Big Explorers programme — 15 weekdays at ₹19,500.
Two days before the programme begins, your child falls ill and cannot attend the first 3 days. You inform us in writing the same day.
Your child will miss 3 of 15 days. Your pro-rated refund is calculated as:
₹19,500 × (3 ÷ 15) = ₹3,900
How transport and day care add-ons are refunded
Add-on fees follow the same cancellation rules as the base programme fee — full refund 4+ days before start, pro-rated refund within the 0–3 day window, no refund once the programme begins.
- Transport (Sec 128): bus route allocation is finalised based on confirmed bookings, so cancellations within 48 hours of start may affect route planning for other families.
- Day care extension (Sec 128): refunded under the same schedule as the base fee, based on the day-care rate quoted to you.
How to request a cancellation
Cancellations must be submitted in writing via either:
- Email to jamboree@prakriti.org.in (preferred), or
- WhatsApp to your campus contact (Sec 22: +91 92895 30104; Sec 128: +91 92171 69572)
Please include your booking ID (sent to you in the registration email, format PJ26-…) and the reason for cancellation. Verbal cancellations or in-person mentions to facilitators are not sufficient for refund processing.
The cancellation is treated as effective on the date and time we receive your written notice.
How refunds are processed
- Refunds are issued back to the same payment method used at registration (the UPI account, card, or bank account that paid via Razorpay).
- Processing typically takes 5 – 7 working days from the date we acknowledge your cancellation by email.
- The reflected timeline on your bank statement depends on your bank and may take an additional 2 – 3 working days.
- We do not charge a cancellation fee. The payment-gateway charge originally absorbed by us is not refunded, as it was not part of your fee.
If we cancel the Programme
If we cancel the Programme — for any reason within our control, including operational shortfall, facility unavailability, or insufficient enrolment — you will receive a full refund of all fees paid, including transport and day-care add-ons, within 7 working days. We will notify you by email and WhatsApp as soon as the decision is made.
Force majeure
If the Programme is interrupted or cancelled due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control — government orders, pandemic-related restrictions, extreme weather, civil unrest, utility failure — we will work with you in good faith to offer either a credit toward a future programme or a refund for the unrendered portion of the Programme. Refund amounts in such cases are pro-rated for the days the Programme could not run.
Non-refundable scenarios
The following are not eligible for refund:
- Any cancellation, withdrawal, or absence once the Programme has begun, regardless of how many days your child actually attended.
- The Sibling, Early Bird, or Prakriti Learner discount amount, if your child was registered after the relevant cut-off and the discount was applied in error — in such a case, you will be asked to top up the difference rather than receive a refund.
- Withdrawal due to the child's persistent disruptive behaviour after our written counselling notice, per the Terms and Conditions.
Transfers and credits
As an alternative to a cash refund, you may request:
- Transfer — move your child's booking to a sibling or another child you nominate (subject to the new child meeting the age requirements of the programme), at no cost.
- Credit — apply the refund amount toward a future Prakriti programme within the next 12 months. Credits are non-transferable and cannot be converted back to cash.
